Desktop Support Engineer

Description:

  • Provides basic troubleshooting assistance and resolution for staff within a Windows and Macintosh environment
  • Resolve issues in the areas of software and hardware installation, repair,upgrade and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network port / wireless connectivity issues.
  • Effectively prepare computer and phone for new hires while managing inventory
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Over 5 years’ experience required

Must be familiar with:

  • Windows 7 / XP, OSX 10.6 / 10.7
  • Office 2010 / 2007, 2011 (Mac)
  • Mobile device configuration and management for BlackBerry, Android & iOS devices

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a System Administrator or equivalent industry experience
  • 2 or more years Mac/Windows/UNIX experience
  • Diploma or equivalent from a recognized technical institute
  • Strong customer management skills
  • ability to follow procedure and efficiently trouble-shoot network, hardware and software issues
