The system improves visibility into normal operations, provides a rapid response capability for ad hoc meetings and supports the need for unfettered electronic meetings and discussions.
BoardVantage was designed for ease of use. Directors get trained in a 30-minute one-on-one session at a time convenient for the user. For support, BoardVantage staff is available 24x7. Our support center is located in the continental US.
The BoardVantage application is hosted in a secured data center and data is protected by encryption and two-factor authentication. All aspects of the application security have been validated by independent audits. BoardVantage is SOC2 (SAS70 Type II) and SysTrust certified.
BoardVantage staff has no access to any customer content.
BoardVantage does not monitor customer usage. Nor do we maintain any audit trails of other communications inside BoardVantage.
There is no audit trail of documents or any other communication. Deleted data is purged from the servers and backup media within forty-eight (48) hours. Also, there is no electronic trail on individual computers, such as caching files, which might otherwise be used for future retrieval.
Documents downloaded from the server are encrypted on your personal computer in a password-protected secure Briefcase. Documents or notes deleted from the vault are irretrievably purged.
With email and voice alerts directors are notified when there is urgent information; recognizing the unpredictability of external events the system offers built-in versioning to deal with last-minute updates and the Web conferencing tools provides an effective substitute when short-notice makes face-to-face meetings impossible.
BoardVantage offers electronic mark-up, so that directors can comment on boardbooks or other documents. These notes may be kept private or shared with other board members.
BoardVantage offers a private, closed-loop email system, subject to company retention policies, that is only accessible by the board. All email messages are permanently purged upon deletion. Also, any notes made by directors on documents are controlled on the server or the laptop and can be irretrievably purged on a regular basis per the company's retention policy.
